My love of animals and medicine as well as my inquisitive nature led me to a career in veterinary medicine. As a child my love for animals became evident, as I wanted to nurse any sick animal I found back to health. Having come from a family where household pets were treated as family members, my decision to work with small animals was made long before my veterinary education started.
My continuous endeavor to improve my working knowledge of the practice of veterinary medicine and my desire to end animal suffering has made the veterinary oath a part of my daily life. I feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful profession and I’m grateful that I enjoy what I do each day. I have been blessed with the privilege of making my passion my profession.
Pets:
Scout – 7 year old female schipperke mix, I acquired as a stray while working as a technician. Although small, she is definitely the alpha dog and rules the house.
Parker – 5 year old male lab mix, I adopted from vet school at 4 weeks old – we bonded through late nights and bottle feedings, it’s hard to believe he’s now 75 lbs.
Cheddar - 9 month old orange DSH cat brought in to River Heights as a stray covered in motor oil. She is now a very active member of the family.
